I just spent a stupid amount of time updating my multiple versions of my join & update pages as well as troubleshooting an issue with country overrides. I remember this from Enth ... when I would edit a link, the user's country would disappear and immediately be changed to the United States. I found that this also happens if someone updates their info - they automatically become from the states. This should now be completely fixed. I have to admit, there is a fair bit of time when I'm twiddling my thumbs looking for something to do, and then get totally bombarded with stuff. I recently had 7 fanlistings that I was trying to build with minimal inspiration. I got through those thankfully and am quite happy with the results of those layouts. Now, it's mostly scriptwork. And stupid stuff like when I built my layouts I used <h3> for page titles and <h6> for subs (I guess thinking that I was reserving the other headings in case I needed them). Well now, using these heading tags is giving me css warnings. So, I am trying to meticulously fix every fanlisting 70+ to correct the warnings. But as you do, I have also been getting sidetracked by other things and am worried that I am losing focus. Pray for me. 🤪

I've been hard at work on some new listings. Just waiting on moved forms to be submitted. Sometimes when creating fanlistings I don't have a whole lot of inspiration tbh. But my last few have pushed my boundaries a bit and have learned some new techniques, which is always a plus. I really do try to make every listing different in some way that is unique to me. I know when I look at other creators' work, I often can tell who made the layout by the style. Although I definitely reuse portions of my fanlistings, I sometimes wonder if I have a "style". I mean especially when I try to make every listing different than the last. If you're reading this, drop me a note in my guestbook (top right) and let me know if you can tell that the same creator has made all my listings. Just curious. 🤔

I have opened quite a number of my favourite topic fanlistings since my last post. In fact there have been 22 new fanlistings since July, with 16 of them being brand new to me. I am also in the process of adopting 5 new fls from the super talented Emily of thislove.nu. Super excited about that. Hope my new layouts do the subjects justice. I've got quite a few fanlistings that are on the upcoming list. Hope to keep my creative juices flowing. Some of them are brand spanking new, while others are from a while back that I'm finally bringing back online. I've been tweaking some stuff behind the scenes, which, while I love adding a simple tweak to make each fanlisting have more individuality going forward, it's still a giant pain in my butt to implement across so many sites. Then there's the forgetting what I've implemented and where. But I just can't keep my hands off. 🫨

So much work completed, I was apparently so bored (not really), that I needed to make an excel tracker to track the status of all of my listings. My memory is shit, so this is seriously necessary. 😁 I love a good project, and this was it. I still haven't done my mass joining spree yet. I think I still have a few more affiliates to add to listings and some things on my wishlist that I need to check on. 🤞 Other than that, I'm not sure what to do with myself.

Today is finally the day! I am pulling the trigger today to get everything completely updated to php8.3. If things look wonky around here, just know that I'm working on it. I had really expected this to be a somewhat easy transition, but what fun would that be?? I am looking forward to an affiliate and fl join spree once the dust settles. 🤪

I still have a couple of listings left, but am dragging my feet because even though I made them, they never got opened. Just learned that my webhost has a cap on subdomains. WFT?! I've never heard of such a thing, but here we are. So I will probably use folders for my older listings. Just annoying really. I am SOOOO worried that all the work I've done will explode in my face when I attempt to move my domain name from my old 5.3 environment to this one, that I find myself wasting time tweaking miniscule things around here. I mean, I've gone so far as to change the look of Enth for php8+. 🤭

I am up to 25 fanlistings php8.1 ready. Ultimately I think I will be trying to bring every fanlisting I've ever made back online - even if I never link it through TFL. Some of my fls are so old that no one would even remember what they are, but for me, it's like a time capsule of my work. Time will tell. This is a huge job and I may not bother at the end of uploading all my current fls.

I am working so hard to update my fanlistings from Angela's original Enthusiast script (yes, my server is still running php5.3)! I am running into so many issues as I push to get things at least up to php8.1. I wish this was a faster process.
